The Weathermatic SmartLine and ProLine controller models have been upgraded with a newer processor that no longer require a back up battery to maintain the Real Time Clock and the programming. The system could be without power for up to 6 months while maintaining the time, date and the programming that has been written to the panel. As a result of this upgrade, the 9V battery connector is now obsolete.
