Each SmartLink aircard comes with either a GSM or CDMA network support. The majority of SmartLink aircards use GSM and run on the T-Mobile 2G cell network. You can check your coverage for GSM connectivity here. Select 2G/Voice and enter your address to check coverage.
If you have a CDMA aircard, SmartLink uses the Aeris network. You can check your CDMA coverage here.
There have only been a handful of sites where SmartLink has not been able to connect using either GSM or CDMA aircards. Meanwhile, not unlike your cell phone in some locations, there will be sites where a good signal not attainable. If problems persist, please contact us for additional guidance and support.
