If you cannot take a picture, find your location, or upload photos on the Android SmartLink app, please do the following:
- Navigate to your Settings App on your device, and open it.
- Once opened, navigate to SmartLink in the Application section, and click it.
- You will see a list of features (Camera, Location, File Storage, etc) which require your permission to enable. Please enable each feature you would like to use.
- Navigate back to your app application to see if each feature works. Here are some tips in order to test if the feature is working correctly.
File Storage
- From the main menu, click "My Sites"
- Click on any controller under any site.
- Click the operations tab and select "Walk Site"
- For *Zone 1*, select *Edit*.
- Open the Zone Info Tab.
- Under Zone Info press the picture icon on the bottom left of your image.
- Press the option to *Select from Library*.
- Find an image that represents this zone, and select it.
- Your image should show as a preview in the Zone Info section. If it does, press save.
- Navigate away from the *Edit Zone* page by clicking the back arrow.
- Re-access the *Edit Zone* page by pressing *Edit Zone*. If the image is there, this feature works! If not, or any of these steps above failed to happen, please contact our support team.
Camera Upload
- From the main menu, click "My Sites"
- Click on any controller under any site.
- Click the operations tab and select "Walk Site"
- For *Zone 1*, select *Edit*.
- Open the Zone Info Tab.
- Under Zone Info press the picture icon on the bottom left of your image.
- Press the option to *Camera Upload*.
- Once you have take the correct image, at the bottom left, select *use image*.
- Your image should show as a preview in the Zone Info section. If it does, press save.
- Navigate away from the *Edit Zone* page by clicking the back arrow.
- Re-access the *Edit Zone* page by pressing *Edit Zone*. If the image is there, this feature works! If not, or any of these steps above failed to happen, please contact our support team.
Location
- From the main menu, click *My Sites*
- Click on any controller under any site.
- Click the operations tab and select *Controller Programming*
- Turn the dialer until you find *Smart Settings*. Press *OK*
- Press the "location" icon. If the zip code of your current location shows in the input field, this feature is working correct. If your zip code of your current location doesn't show this feature is working incorrectly. In this case, please contact our support team.
