If your Aircard is showing a Red-Green-Green-Green light sequence, or the Communication Log specifies a "Panel Not Connected" error message, then continue with the troubleshooting steps below.
It's best to bring a working Panel and Aircard with you to prevent multiple site visits. You can also borrow hardware from nearby controllers if that's an option.
Panel Not Connected Troubleshooting
- Ensure the panel is fully shut and showing the time. Does it show the Current Time and operate zones manually?
- If so, power down, remove the slw5's SLHUB from inside the controller, and power back on. Does that change the Aircard's Red-Green-Green-Green (RGGG) light sequence?
- If this is a SL4800 - Power down, remove the RIBBON CABLE (flat gray ribbon in the top left) and flip it around. When you power on, does that the Aircard's light sequence?
- If not, power down and swap out the PANEL (faceplate), then power on. Does another panel show the same RGGG aircard light sequence?
- If a replacement panel does not work, swap the AIRCARD. Does another Aircard show the same RGGG light sequence?
- If none of the above works, the Controller will need to be replaced.
