Option 1 is for panels manufactured between 2011 and March 2018.
The details in the description below will guide you in performing a factory reset through the ADV MENU functions of the SmartLine control panel. See the video link below to visually guide you through the process.
Step 1: Rotate the dial to the ADVANCED MENU position of the SmartLine panel and the display will read TESTS.
Step 2: Press the UP or the DOWN button until the display reads CLR ALL.
Step 3: Press the NEXT button and the display will read KEEP.
Step 4: Press the UP or the DOWN button and the screen will read CLEAR.
Step 5: Press the NEXT button and the screen will briefly display CLEARING and then return to CLR ALL.
The panel has now been restored to the factory default settings and is ready to program.
Option 2 is for panels manufactured between April 2018 to present day.
In the description below, you will learn how to use the CLR ALL function of the SmartLine controller's ADVANCED MENU. This feature is similar to CLR PGM except that it will CLEAR ALL user programmed data for all four programs (A, B, C and D) and returns the system to the factory default settings.
Step 1: Rotate the dial to the ADVANCED MENU position of the SmartLine panel and the display will read TESTS.
Step 2: Press the UP or the DOWN button until the display reads CLR ALL.
Step 3: Press the NEXT button to enter the function and the display will read CONFIRM.
Step 4: Press the NEXT button and the display will read CLEARING and when it has finished the task, the display will read COMPLETE.
At this time the SmartLine panel has been restore to its factory defaults and is ready to be programmed as if the system were new out of the box.
Option 3: The procedures listed below will guide you in performing a Factory Reset to a SmartLine panel from 2004 to 2010. See the video link below for visual assistance.
Step 1: Rotate the dial to the ADV MENU position, the screen will display TESTS.
Step 2: Open the panel from the cabinet and install a 9V battery into the back of the panel.
Step 3: Press and hold BOTH the UP and DOWN buttons to the right of the LCD simultaneously.
Step 4: While you continue holding the UP and DOWN buttons, press and release the RESET button on the back of the panel with a ball point pen.
Step 5: Continue holding the UP and DOWN buttons until the display reads CLEARING. At this time, you can release the UP and DOWN buttons.
Step 6: Once the panel has rebooted and you can see the time of day, you can reprogram the panel's settings.
