Alert: SLW Communication Error
Description
This alert is generated when the weather station has failed to communicated with the controller.
What might happen as a result of the issue?
The controller will continue to operate in Auto Adjust mode, calculating run times as normal based on the last data received, for 5 consecutive days without communication.
After 5 days, controller will automatically change to Standard mode and begin watering based on standard run times.
After 5 days, you will also receive a NORMAL to NONE SLW error indicating there is no SLW attached and steps must be taken to re-sync devices.
Resolution(s)
This problem can be caused by a number of different issues.
Poor radio signal between controller and weather station: See here for tips on placement.
Weather stations batteries have failed: See here for battery replacement.
SLW hub not fully inserted: Check hub connection.
Damage to weather station antenna: Replace weather station.
Local radio signal interference: Weathermatic's weather stations operate at 900 MHz. This band is used by some walkie-talkies, older cordless phones, and some amateur radio operators. This devices will need to be turned off or relocated if possible.
Damaged wire path (wired models): The damaged wires will need to be cut and spliced into new wires.
Alert: SLW Temp Data Error
Description
This alert is generated when the controller has identified the high and low temperatures are the same for five consecutive days, or that one of data points of temperature is missing.
