Will Smart Mode Cause me to Violate Watering Restrictions?

The Smart Mode can cause you to violate local watering restrictions if it has not been properly set up. In order to prevent this, you should use the Omit Times / Days feature.

Use the following steps to set up times where the controller will not water:

1.) Turn the dial to the Omit Times / Days position

2.) The screen will show "OMIT:TIME", pressing the next button allows you to select from the following options:

"OMIT:TIME" - allows you to set a specific range of times you would like to omit, such as 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.

"OMIT: DAYS" - select days of the week you would like to omit

"OMIT:DATE" - select specific dates you would like to omit

Use the following steps to set each

Omit Time

1.) Press next when the display shows "OMIT:TIME"

2.) Press the up button to set the time for the start of the omit period and then press next

3.) Press the up button to set the time for the end of the omit period

4.) The omit time setting is complete

Omit Days

1.) Press next when the display shows "OMIT:DAYS"

2.) Use the next button to cycle through days of the week and the up and down buttons to turn them off or on

Omit Dates

1.) Press next when the display shows "OMIT:DATE"

2.) Use display will show 01 on the left, this indicates that it is the first date you would like to omit, the blank date is shown on the right side

3.) Use the up and down buttons to set the month, then press next

4.) Use the up and down buttons to set the day, then press next

5.) The display will show 02 on the left, indicating this is the second date you would like to omit. Use the same process to set up all dates you wish to omit.
