If I have an existing subscription, and add a new add-on feature (like Flow, or Warranty), when will I be billed? When will be the feature be effective?
I dropped an add-on feature (flow, warranty), but didn't get a refund for my un-used service. Why not?
I have a plan card or existing one-time-payment subscription, but I want to switch to a recurring (monthly or annual) subscription plan. How do I do that, and when will it take effect?
- The cost of the new feature will be pro-rated based on your current billing cycle
- The service (flow, etc) becomes effective immediately.
- For a monthly recurring subscription the prorated amount charged to your next invoice.
- If you have an annual recurring subscription, the prorated amount will be charged immediately and you will see a new invoice that charges for the amount due to the end of your current yearly invoice cycle.
I dropped an add-on feature (flow, warranty), but didn't get a refund for my un-used service. Why not?
- If you drop an add-on feature mid-billing-cycle, a prorated credit is applied to your account. It will be discounted on your next invoice.
- For example, if you have a monthly recurring subscription add-on for $10/month, and you cancel it halfway through the month, you are owed a credit of $5. Your next monthly invoice cycle will show a $5 credit. This pro-rated amount is always issued in the form of a credit, not a credit card refund.
I have a plan card or existing one-time-payment subscription, but I want to switch to a recurring (monthly or annual) subscription plan. How do I do that, and when will it take effect?
- If you have an existing non-recurring subscription payment already in place, you can add a recurring payment subscription at any time.
- The recurring subscription will not start billing until your current service expires.
- The day your current service (plan card, etc) expires, the recurring subscription will charge your credit card and continue billing on your selected billing interval.
- For monthly subscriptions, you will be billed on your next invoice cycle. NOTE that this may appear to look like a double-bill, but it is not. Any controllers added to a monthly house subscription will not be charged right away, but the pro-rated amount will be applied to the next invoice, PLUS the full amount of the next month's pre-paid subscription charge.
- For annual subscriptions, the pro-rated amount of the subscription will be charged immediately. Your next billing cycle will include the new controller in full.
