How to Transfer Controllers Between Sites in SmartLink Network

Learn how to transfer a controller from one site to another in SmartLink Network by by following the video or instructions below

Step 1: Access the Admin Panel

1. Log into SmartLink Network at smartlinknetwork.com
2. Navigate to the Site with the controller you're transferring
3. Select the Controller from the site page
4. In the top right, click the Admin drop-down button.
5. Choose Controller Options.

Step 2: Check Basic Settings

1. In the Basic Settings section, you will see the controller name, location description, and site name.
2. Important: The Site field will only be visible if you are the billing user for both sites. You must have billing user permissions for both sites to proceed with the transfer.

Step 3: Transfer the Controller

1. Click on the Site drop-down field.
2. Select the destination site from the list. For example, choose Transfer Site 123.
3. Click Update to confirm the selection.

Step 4: Confirm the Transfer

1. After submitting the update, a confirmation message will appear indicating "Updated controller details."
2. Return to the Sites page.
3. Scroll down and verify that the controller now appears under Transfer Site 123.
4. Confirm that the controller has been removed from its original site.

Step 5: Verify the Controller

1. Click on Transfer Site 123.
2. Confirm that the transferred controller is listed correctly.
