Learn how to invite new users to a SmartLink site by following the video or instructions below
Step 1: Log into SmartLink and Navigate to the Controllers Page
- Navigate to smartlinknetwork.com and sign in.
- From the top menu, click on Controllers (next to Site and Inspection).
- This page will show all controllers associated with your profile.
- Use the search bar to filter controllers by site name or specific keywords if needed.
Step 2: Open the Global Command Menu
- Click Global Commands in the top right.
- Select Send Global Programming from the drop down menu.
- If prompted, click Get Started to proceed with the limited-time free trial.
Step 3: Configure Basic Settings
- On the Basic Settings page:
- If you don't want to make changes, leave each setting at No Change.
- To update a setting, click the drop down and select a new option (e.g., change Run Status to Remote Off).
- Scroll down to adjust watering times, watering days, start times, and seasonal adjustments.
- You can also enable or edit omit times and omit days.
- When finished, click Next.
Step 4: Adjust Smart Mode Settings
- On the Smart Mode Settings page:
- Global smart settings are limited to adjusting More or Less percentages.
- It’s recommended to make detailed Smart Mode changes individually at each controller.
- Enter your adjustment (e.g., +1%) and click Next.
Step 5: Configure Advanced Settings
- On the Advanced Settings page:
- Adjust Weather Sensor Delay, Daylight Savings Time, or Winterize settings.
- This is useful for winterizing or de-winterizing multiple controllers at once.
- When finished, click Preview Changes.
Step 6: Review and Finalize Changes
- On the Preview Changes page:
- Review the list of selected controllers and sites.
- Remove any controllers you don't want to update by clicking Remove.
- Review a summary of changes you made (such as Run Status, Seasonal Adjustments, Omit Days, etc.).
- If needed, click Edit or Revert to adjust settings before finalizing.
- When ready, click Apply Changes at the bottom right.
- Confirm by clicking Yes when prompted.
Step 7: Monitor Command Status
- The command will show as Pending until it processes.
- A green Successfully Sent banner will appear once the updates are complete.
- If the command fails (shows a red banner), click Retry to attempt sending again.
- You can review the summary of changes once the command is successfully sent.
