Learn how to disconnect an Aircard and transfer it to another controller in SmartLink by following the steps below
Step 1: Log In and Select your Controller
- Go to smartlinknetwork.com and enter your login credentials to access your account.
- On the Site Page, find the search bar.

Type in your Site Name and select it from the search results.

- Locate the Controller List at the top and click on the Controller name.
Step 2: Open Controller Options
- At the top of the controller page, click the Admin drop down.
- Select Controller Options from the menu.
Step 3: Disconnect the Aircard
- Scroll to the bottom of the Controller Options page.
- Click the large red Disconnect Aircard button.
- A pop-up will appear showing subscription details.
- Select a reason for disconnecting — choose Transferring to another controller.
- Click Disconnect to confirm.
- The controller becomes virtual and the remaining subscription is paused.
Step 4: Return to the Site Page
- From the top of the controller page, click the link to go back to the Site Page.
- You will now see two virtual controllers listed.
Step 5: Activate the Aircard on the New Controller
- Click the name of the virtual controller where you want to transfer the Aircard.
- Click the Admin button and choose Controller Options.
- In the Update section, enter the Aircard number.
- Click Activate at the bottom.
- Confirm the number is correct and click OK.
- Activation may take up to 5 minutes
Step 6: Finalize Controller Setup
- Once activation is complete, you’ll return to the controller page.
- Choose one of the following:
- Temporarily activate the controller for 30 days.
- Enter a new plan card.
- Purchase service.
- To transfer remaining subscription time, email subscriptions@weathermatic.com
