How to Disconnect an Aircard and Transfer it to Another Controller in SmartLink

Learn how to disconnect an Aircard and transfer it to another controller in SmartLink by following the steps below

Step 1: Log In and Select your Controller

1. Go to smartlinknetwork.com and enter your login credentials to access your account.
2. On the Site Page, find the search bar.

3. Type in your Site Name and select it from the search results.

   -OR-

4. Locate the Controller List at the top and click on the Controller name.

Step 2: Open Controller Options

1. At the top of the controller page, click the Admin drop down.
2. Select Controller Options from the menu.

Step 3: Disconnect the Aircard

1. Scroll to the bottom of the Controller Options page.
2. Click the large red Disconnect Aircard button.
3. A pop-up will appear showing subscription details.
4. Select a reason for disconnecting — choose Transferring to another controller.
5. Click Disconnect to confirm.
6. The controller becomes virtual and the remaining subscription is paused.

Step 4: Return to the Site Page

1. From the top of the controller page, click the link to go back to the Site Page.
2. You will now see two virtual controllers listed.

Step 5: Activate the Aircard on the New Controller

1. Click the name of the virtual controller where you want to transfer the Aircard.
2. Click the Admin button and choose Controller Options.
3. In the Update section, enter the Aircard number.
4. Click Activate at the bottom.
5. Confirm the number is correct and click OK.
6. Activation may take up to 5 minutes

Step 6: Finalize Controller Setup

1. Once activation is complete, you’ll return to the controller page.
2. Choose one of the following:
   • Temporarily activate the controller for 30 days.
   • Enter a new plan card.
   • Purchase service.
   • To transfer remaining subscription time, email subscriptions@weathermatic.com
