Learn how to use Pick Columns to Review Controller Details in SmartLink Network by following the instructions below
Step 1: Log in and Access the Controllers Tab
- Open your web browser and go to smartlinknetwork.com.
- Enter your SmartLink credentials and click Log In.
- Once logged in, locate and click on the Controllers tab in the top navigation bar.
- The Controllers page will display a table of all your controllers across all sites.
Step 2: Access the Pick Columns Feature
- In the Controllers table view, look to the top right corner of the table.
- Click on the Pick Columns button to open the column selection panel.
- A menu will appear listing all available data fields that can be shown or hidden in the table.
Step 3: Select Controller Data Fields
- Review the list of available columns in the Pick Columns menu.
- Check the boxes next to the data fields you want to display.
Recommended columns include:- Controller Name
- Run Status – Indicates if the controller is running or off
- Watering Mode – Shows Smart or Basic mode
- Rain/Freeze Sensor – Displays sensor activity status
- Faults – Highlights any current alerts
- Uncheck any columns that are not relevant to your workflow.
- When finished selecting, proceed to apply your changes.
Step 4: Apply Changes
- After making your column selections, click the Update Table button at the bottom of the Pick Columns panel.
- The controller table will immediately refresh and display only the selected data fields.
- Review the updated table to ensure your desired information is now visible.
Step 5: Sort and Analyze
- Click on any column header (e.g., Run Status or Faults) to sort the data by that column.
- Use this sorting feature to quickly identify controllers that may require attention (e.g., showing faults or inactive sensors).
- Repeat for different columns to view your data from multiple perspectives.
Step 6: Export for Sharing
- To create a report or share your customized view, locate the Export button (usually near the top or bottom of the controller table).
- Click Export to download the current table view as a CSV file.
- Open the CSV file using Excel or another spreadsheet tool to format, analyze, or distribute the report as needed.
Step 7: Adjust Anytime
- If your needs change, you can return to the Pick Columns menu at any time.
- Repeat the selection and update steps to modify which data fields are shown.
- This flexibility allows you to adapt your dashboard for different tasks, seasons, or team preferences.
