Learn how to configure your flow sensor using SmartLink Network by following the instructions below
Step 1: Log In and Select Your Controller
- Go to smartlinknetwork.com and enter your login credentials to access your account.
- On the Site Page, find the search bar and type in and select your Site Name from the search results.
- Then click on the Controller name
-OR- - Locate the Controller List at the top, then find and click the Controller name.
Step 2: Access the Flow Settings Page
- Confirm that your Flow subscription is active. If not, go to the subscriptions section to add it.
- Navigate to the Flow page.
- Click on Edit Flow Settings to begin configuration.
Step 3: Select Your Flow Sensor Model
- If you are using a non-Weathermatic sensor, select Custom.
- For Weathermatic sensors, choose from the following options:
- T10 for 1 inch plastic tee.
- B15 for 1.5 inch brass tee.
- S30 for 3 inch saddle.
- Select the appropriate sensor model for your system.
Step 4: Set the Line Fill Time
- Determine how long it takes to purge air from the furthest zone on your system.
- Enter this time in seconds under Line Fill Time. For example, if it takes 2 minutes, enter 120 seconds.
Step 5: Adjust Sample Time
- By default, the sample time is set to 60 seconds.
- You can adjust this time if needed for a higher resolution of flow data.
Step 6: Choose a Flow Shutdown Mode
- Select between the two shutdown modes:
- System: The program will shut down the master valve after two consecutive flow errors.
- Per Zone: The system will attempt to run all zones, flagging any zones with flow issues.
- Choose the mode that best fits your needs.
Step 7: Configure Leak Detection
- For Normally Open Master Valves, set an acceptable water usage level.
- For Normally Closed Master Valves, enter a small positive value like 3 gallons per minute to avoid false alarms.
Step 8: Save, Send, and Verify Changes
- Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply your settings.
- Click the red Send button to send the settings to your controller.
- Wait for the green confirmation banner that says Instruction Completed.
- (Optional) Navigate to the Recent Events section and Confirm the changes were applied successfully.
