How to Build a Deficit Report using SmartLink Network

Learn how to build a Deficit Report for controllers in Smart Mode using SmartLink Network by following the instructions below

Step 1: Log In and Select Your Site

1. Go to smartlinknetwork.com and enter your login credentials to access your account.
2. On the Site Page, locate the site that contains the controller you want to report on.
3. Click the Report button at the top near Inspections.

Step 2: Clear Default Report Data

1. The default report will display high and low temperatures and past run times.
2. Remove any unnecessary data by clicking the X button on each reporting line.

Step 3: Configure Your Report

1. On the left, ensure the correct site is selected.
2. If there are multiple controllers, select the specific one you want to report on.
3. Under Reporting Items, choose All Zones Individually for a cleaner view.
4. Confirm that the data source is set to SmartLine Controller.
5. Change Run Times to Deficits.
6. Click Add to generate the report.

Step 4: View and Analyze the Report

1. The report will display each zone's deficit by date.
2. For example, you might see Zone 2 showing a deficit in inches accrued daily.

Step 5: Adjust the Report Timeline

1. To view data in a different format, select a different timeline option.
2. Choose Weekly instead of Daily for a broader view.
3. Adjust the timeline to cover a period of up to three months or 1 year.

Step 6: Save Your Report (Optional)

1. Click Save As at the bottom of the page.
2. Enter a name for your report (e.g., "Weekly Deficits").
3. Click OK to save.

Step 7: Export or Delete Your Report

1. To download the report as a CSV file, click Export All.
2. If you no longer need the report, select Delete to remove it.
