Learn how to set the plant type for your zones in SmartLink Network by following the instructions below
Step 1: Log In and Select Your Controller
- Go to smartlinknetwork.com and enter your login credentials to access your account.
- On the Site Page, find the search bar and type in and select your Site Name from the search results.
- Then click on the Controller name
-OR- - Locate the Controller List at the top, then find and click the Controller name.
Step 2: Access Smart Mode Settings
- On the Controller Page, scroll down to the Programming section.
- Click the Smart Mode Auto Adjust button.
Step 3: Edit Plant Type
- Under the My Plant Type column, you will see the current plant types for each zone. The default is typically Cool Turf.
- Click Edit Smart Settings to enter edit mode.
- Select the Pencil Icon next to the zone you want to modify, or simply click anywhere in the box.
- Choose from the following plant types in the drop down menu:
- Cool Turf - Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, fine fescue, and tall fescue
- Warm Turf - Bermuda, Zoysia, St. Augustine, Bahia grass, Centipede grass, Carpet grass, Buffalo grass
- Shrubs - Ideal for established landscape shrubs and ornamental plants.
- Trees - Designed for established tree irrigation.
- Annuals - Perfect for seasonal flower beds.
- Custom Crop Factor - Allows for specific irrigation needs.

Step 4: Save and Send Changes
- After making adjustments, click Stop Editing to save your selections.
- Click the red Send button at the top right corner to apply your changes to the controller.
- The system will show a Successfully Sent banner once the communication is complete.
