How to View and Compare Snapshots in SmartLink Network

Learn how to view and compare Snapshots in SmartLink Network by following the instructions below

Step 1: Log In and Select Your Controller

1. Go to smartlinknetwork.com and enter your login credentials to access your account.
2. On the Site Page, find the search bar and type in and select your Site Name from the search results.
3. Then click on the Controller name
   -OR-
4. Locate the Controller List at the top, then find and click the Controller name.

Step 2: Access the Snapshot Feature

1. On the Controller Page, find the Snapshot button near the top of the screen, next to the Events Log button.
2. Click on the Snapshot button.
3. If you have any saved snapshots, they will appear with details including:
   • Date and Time of creation
   • Created by
   • Snapshot Name

Step 3: View a Snapshot

1. On the right side of the snapshot list, find the action buttons. You can:
   • View: Review the saved programming details.
   • Apply: Select and apply a previous snapshot.
   • Edit: Change the snapshot name.
   • Export: Download the snapshot data as an Excel file.
   • Delete: Permanently remove the snapshot.
2. Click View next to any snapshot to inspect the details. When viewing a snapshot, you will see information about programs, including days to water, start times, seasonal adjustments, and run times.

Step 4: Compare Snapshots

1. To compare snapshots, select the Compare check boxes for the snapshots you want to compare. You can select two snapshots to compare at once.
2. Click the Compare button.
3. A pop-up will appear, explaining that the first snapshot will be highlighted in red and the second snapshot will be highlighted in green to show the differences. Click Compare to proceed.
4. The comparison page will display both snapshots side-by-side with differences marked clearly. For example:
   • Days of the week for watering may differ.
   • Start times may change between snapshots.
   • Seasonal adjustments may vary.
   • Run times may be adjusted.
5. Scroll down to see a summary of all the differences highlighted in red and green, making it easy to identify changes between snapshots.
6. After comparing, you can return to the Snapshot page to make further adjustments or apply the desired snapshot.
